About Us
Mai Chi, Vicki, Dan and Karen met at Bell Helicopter while working on several projects. Mai Chi was saving all she could to help as many people from Vietnam as she could afford. As each of us got to know her and saw her dedication, we wanted to help. We decided the best way to help was to set up Agape and become a 501C non-profit organization. This enables us to be more effective and reach more people with more needs.
Mai Chi had already built a number of homes, but shared with us that for a very nominal amount of money, anyone could build a home for a family and change that family’s lives forever. One of the most meaningful ways to honor a loved one is to build a home in their name. Many people have done this through Agape. It is a wonderful thing to see the pictures of a literal shack become a home for a family that would never be able to afford one
Agape is truly a labor of love for the poor of Vietnam inspired by Mai Chi Nguyen. We have many wonderful people helping us. We are very grateful to each of them.
